To enhance students' practical skills, the Law Department at Baghdad College of Economic Sciences organized a field visit for its students to the Baghdad Provincial Council, the highest legislative and oversight authority in the province, responsible for issuing regulations and directives governing its affairs.
During the visit, the students met with the Council Chairman, Mr. Ammar Al-Hamdani, the Governor of Baghdad, Mr. Abdul-Mutallab Al-Alawi, and Council Member Dr. Rafah Al-Zubaidi. They learned about the legislative and oversight functions of the Council and the decision-making process related to the administration of the province.
This visit is part of the department's activities aimed at bridging the gap between theory and practice and preparing law students to gain a deeper understanding of the practical realities of legislative institutions.
