The Iraqi University of Science and Al-Qadisiyah University Sign Three Twinning Agreements to Enhance Academic and Scientific Cooperation
In their ongoing efforts to develop academic partnerships and strengthen scientific cooperation between higher education institutions, the Iraqi University of Science and Al-Qadisiyah University signed three twinning agreements between several corresponding colleges at both universities. The aim is to broaden the horizons of joint cooperation and exchange scientific and research expertise, thereby contributing to improving the quality of higher education and its outcomes.
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, a twinning agreement was signed between the Civil Engineering Departments in the Colleges of Engineering at both universities. This agreement was based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which seek to enhance twinning programs and academic cooperation among Iraqi universities. The signing ceremony was attended by the deans of the colleges, faculty members, and officials.
On Sunday, June 14, 2026, two additional twinning agreements were signed between the Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy at both universities. The deans of the respective colleges were also present, reaffirming the commitment of both parties to strengthening academic relations and developing avenues for scientific and research cooperation. The twinning agreements encompassed several important areas, including curriculum development, exchange of academic and scientific expertise, joint research, and the organization of conferences, seminars, and scientific workshops. They also facilitated faculty and researcher exchanges, contributing to the enhancement of the educational and research environment and the development of academic performance in the colleges covered by the agreements.
At the conclusion of the signing ceremony, the University of Science in Iraq honored the deans of the colleges at Al-Qadisiyah University by presenting them with commemorative shields in recognition of their efforts in supporting and ensuring the success of the cooperation and twinning programs.
